Premier Abbasi arrives in Kabul for talks with Afghan President

KABUL: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has on Friday arrived in Kabul to hold face-to-face talks with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani.
According to a Presidential Palace official, Abbasi will also meet with Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah and with other political leaders.
Abbasi was welcomed by President Ashraf Ghani and his cabinet members amid guard of honor when he arrived at the Presidential Palace.
Abbasi and Ghani are also expected to hold a joint press conference after their meeting.
This comes after President Ghani officially extended an invitation to the Pakistan prime minister to visit Kabul for face-to-face talks in order for the two countries to resolve issues and jointly work towards forging peace in the country. – Agencies
