President calls for highlighting country’s positive image

ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain has stressed highlighting of Pakistan’s positive, peaceful, moderate and democratic image around the world.     
He was addressing the launching ceremony of Calligraphy book ‘Al-Lama-Bil-Qalam’ and exhibition in Islamabad on Wednesday.  
The President appreciated the talented artists for conveying the message of love, peace and affection through their unique work.     
He expressed the confidence that the book will serve as a precious asset and provide guidance to the youth in the fields of art and culture.  
Referring to the art of calligraphy, Mamnoon Hussain said it has a great significance in Islamic and Pakistani culture. He said it is a matter of great pride that the chief calligrapher at the Mosque of Prophet [Masjid-e-Nabvi] is a Pakistani citizen.    Earlier, in his welcome address, Foreign Secretary Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry said the calligraphy book contains work of fifty six outstanding Pakistani artists. 
He said different Quranic verses have been printed in a beautiful and artistic form in the book.
