PSL-4: Sarfaraz helps Quetta Gladiators defeat Lahore Qalandars

SHARJAH: Quetta Gladiators on Saturday defeated Lahore Qalandars by three wickets in the 12th match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) at Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
In a response to Lahore Qalandars’ 144-run target, Quetta Gladiators scored 148 for seven. Skipper Sarfaraz hit last-ball sixer to ensure Gladiators’ victory against Qalandars.
Lahore Qalandars struggled in the beginning as openers fell prey to brillian bowling spell from Gladiators. Fakhar Zaman could score only 3 runs, Salman Butt 5 runs, Sohail Akhtar 26 runs, Anderson 19, David Wiese 20 and Gohar Ali scored 5 runs.
For Quetta Gladiators, Ghulam Mudassar secured 3 wickers, Sohail Tanveer 2 wickets, whereas, Anwar Ali and Muhammad Nawaz grabbed one wicket each.
Earlier, Quetta Gladiators won the toss and elected to bowl against Lahore Qalandars in the fourth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL-4) in Sharjah.
After winning the toss, Sarfraz Ahmed said, “It looks a good batting pitch. Hopefully we’ll restrict them and chase the target.” Meanwhile, AB de Villiers said, “We’re very happy with the win last night. It was a crunch game and a must-win for us.”
