PTA suspends internet service due to PTI’s violent protests

ISLAMABAD: After the arrest of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman and the ongoing protests throughout the country, mobile service has been suspended in Punjab while internet service has been suspended in Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
According to a statement issued by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority, internet service has been completely suspended in Islamabad and Rawalpindi until further notice.
In addition, internet users in other cities of Pakistan are also facing difficulties accessing Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube, and many users have lodged complaints regarding the issue.
According to reports from international organizations that monitor internet services, users in Pakistan have reported difficulties accessing Twitter. During the past hour, users have been facing difficulties accessing these services.
Furthermore, users are also facing difficulties accessing YouTube, Facebook, and other social media applications.
