ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) has demanded of chief election commissioner to transfer federal and provincial interior secretaries besides sacking chairman of National Database Registration Authority (NADRA).
In a letter written to CEC, the PTI Central Information Secretary Fawad Chaudhary said conducting free and fair election was the constitutional duty and obligation of election commission, a statement issued by PTI Central Media Secretariat Wednesday said.
He said effective and immediate arrangements were need of the hour to ensure public rule in the country.
He also lauded the election commission decision to change four chief secretaries inspector generals of police after pointing by PTI.
However, he said these transfers and postings were sufficient to ensure free and fair election in the country.
Fawad Chaudhary demanded that professional, experience and officers having good reputation should be appointed.
He also demanded to take immediate notice of leakage of sensitive data from NADRA.
He called upon the CEC to take steps for removing chairman NADRA from it office. – APP
