PTI’s Irfanullah to contest from NA-31 on PPP’s ticket


PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI)’s leader Akhunzada Irfan Ullah Shah Saturday revolted against party leadership and announced joining of the PPP to contest elections from NA-31 Peshawar.
The decision to join the PPP was announced by the PTI leader during a press conference, which was also attended by PPP leaders including Ziaullah Afridi, Syed Zahir Ali Shah and others.
Irfanullah had applied for PTI ticket for NA-31. However, the PTI refused ticket to him. PPP’s candidate for NA-31 Ziaullah Afridi announced to withdraw in favour of Irfanullah who would contest on PPP’s ticket.
Akhunzada Irfan Ullah Shah had joined the PTI in July 2017 after quitting the JUI-F.
