PTI’s Minar-e-Pakistan rally: CTD issues threat alert

LAHORE: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has issued threat alert regarding PTI’s Minar-e-Pakistan rally, saying that the terrorists have planned attack on the rally to spread terror in the country.
According to threat alert issued by the Punjab Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), the central leader of the banned TTP, Mufti Khorasani, has planned a terrorist attack on Minar-e-Pakistan to create chaos in the country. The terrorists can target the public meetings, rallies, and the Minar-e-Pakistan to spread terror in the country.
The CTD said that Mufti Khorasani has planned the attack after consulting with terrorist Abdul Wali Khan. The CTD said that the terrorists have prepared 25 suicide bombers for attacks. Abdul Wali Khan has carried out several bombings in Lahore in the past.
The alert further stated that the terrorists can also target the law enforcement agencies, important installations, and the uniformed forces. All law enforcement agencies have been instructed to take strict security measures.
