Punjab farmers end protest after successful talks with govt

LAHORE: The protesting farmers of Punjab Thursday ended their sit-in after successful talks with the government.
Kissan Itehad chairman Chaudhry Anwar announced end to the protest and said that that the government has assured them to accept their demands. He said that the chief minister assured that government would take immediate steps on some issues, while other demands would also be accepted.
The farmers were protesting Lahore for acceptance of their demands since Wednesday.
