Punjab govt takes control of JeM’s mosque, madrasa


LAHORE: The Punjab government has taken control of the Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM)’s mosque and a madrasa in Bahawalpur on Friday.
According to reports, the government of Punjab took control of a compound comprising Madressatul Sabir and Jama-e-Masjid Subhanallah in Bahawalpur, reportedly the Headquarters of Jaish-e-Mohammad. The provincial government also appointed an administrator to manage its affairs.
According to Interior Ministry, the provincial government has appointed an administrator to run the affairs of mosque and the seminary.
The step has been taken in accordance with the decision made in meeting of National Security Committee. The campus houses seventy teachers and six hundred students.
