LONDON: Former opposition leader in National Assembly Raja Riaz has joined the Pakistan Muslim League (N) after meeting Mian Nawaz Sharif on Saturday.
Raja Riaaz met with the leader of the Pakistan Muslim League (N), Nawaz Sharif, and President Shehbaz Sharif in London. Ishaq Dar and other PML-N leaders were also present on this occasion. Raja Riaz expressed full confidence over the leadership of the Mian Nawaz Sharif. He said that the PML-N would win the next general elections.
In a previous media statement, Raja Riaz had mentioned that the meeting would involve political discussions, Nawaz Sharif’s return, and the upcoming elections.
He stated that important decisions would be made in the coming days, and he had proposed February 15 as the election date, which could be a week before or after.
He also mentioned that Nawaz Sharif would receive a tremendous welcome, and he has his own vote bank. The Muslim League is an old party with deep-rooted followers. If Nawaz Sharif were running away from the elections, he wouldn’t be returning.
