Registered Afghan refugees can open bank accounts in Pakistan: PM

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has allowed the registered Afghan refugees to open bank accounts in Pakistan.
According to reports, the prime minister that registered Afghan refugees living in Pakistan can open bank accounts in Pakistan. He said that the Afghan refugees could become part of the Pakistan’s economy by opening bank accounts.
In a tweet, he said, “I have issued instructions today that Afghan refugees who are registered can open bank accounts and from now onwards they can participate in the formal economy of the country . This should have been done a long time ago.”
