MIRANSHAH: After break for Eidul Azah, the repatriation of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) of North and South Waziristan agencies started on Monday (today).
About 430 families of internally displaced persons repatriated to their homes in Mir Ali tehsil and Ghulam Khan.
According to political administration, about 387 temporary displaced families from Khushhali Tori khel area of Mir Ali Tehsil return to their homes from Bannu Bakakhel IDPs camp. Similarly, 36 families from Ghulam Khan tehsil also returned to their homes.
Meanwhile, political administration claimed that the government was making efforts for repatriation of the families from Afghanistan, who were displaced during North Waziristan operation. However, the official alleged that the Afghan government was not cooperation with the Pakistani officials for return of the Pakistani tribesmen to their homes.
Political administration of the Agency has made arrangements to start repatriation of temporarily displaced persons to their native towns.
Assistant Political Officer Muhammad Shoiab Khan said that during the current phase, the administration has planned to send forty thousand TDPs families to their homes.
He said that political administration has set up a camp at Kherigi area of Tank where the registered families are being sent back to their homes.
The process would be completed on 15th of next month.
