Rupee plunges to a historic low against the dollar

Pakistan receives $700 million from Chinese bank

KARACHI: The rupee has plunged to a historic low against the dollar on Friday. According State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the dollar was closed at Rs276.58, after gaining Rs5.22 or 1.89% of its value in inter-bank market.

According to SBP data, yesterday, the dollar was closed at Rs271.36 in the interbank market. Meanwhile, the the dollar price increased to Rs 283 in the open market.
