ISLAMABAD: Advisor on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz and Afghan Minister for Refugees Sayed Hussain Alemi Balkhi had a meeting in Islamabad on Friday.
They discussed matters relating to early and dignified repatriation of the Afghan refugees.
The Adviser stressed the need for effective steps to achieve this objective.
The Afghan Minister appreciated Pakistan for hosting millions of Afghan refugees for more than three decades.
He said the Afghan government is evolving an effective policy for early repatriation and sustainable resettlement of Afghan refugees.
Meanwhile, Pakistan and Afghanistan have urged the international community to extend cooperation for early repatriation of the Afghan refugees.
The call was made by Minister for States and Frontier Regions Abdul Qadir Baloch and Afghan Minister for Refugees Sayed Hussain Alemi Balkhi at a joint news conference in Islamabad.
They said 550 million dollars are required for the purpose.
