KABUL: Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirate have shutdown embassies in Kabul due to security reasons, Afghan media reported.

According to reports, the ISIS was planning car bomb attack on Saudi embassy in Kabul, prompting the Saudi authorities to shift diplomats and staff members to Islamabad.
Saudi Arabia was one of the few countries which reopened its embassy in Kabul in November 2021, three months after the Taliban’s takeover of Kabul, and sent its 14 diplomats to Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, the UAE has also closed its embassy in Kabul due to security situation in Afghanistan.
