SC closes NRO case against Zardari, Musharraf, Malik Qayum

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court (SC) Friday closed NRO case against former president Asif Ali Zardari, Pervez Musharraf and Malik Qayyum.
Heading an apex court bench, which heard NRO case, Chief Justice Saqib Nisar remarked that Asif Zardari, Pervez Musharraf and Malik Qayum have submitted the details about their assets.
Feroz Shah Gilani had submitted petition against former president Asif Ali Zardari, Prevez Musharraf and former attorney general of Pakistan Malik Qayyum in the Supreme Court. However, he was not present in the supreme court during today’s hearing.
“There has also been major headway in the Omni Group case,” the top judge added. “The law will pave its own way,” he further said.
Justice Nisar then inquired about the whereabouts of petitioner Feroz Shah Gilani and his counsel informed that he is ill. “The court had issued notices to respondents,” the chief justice said.
The court then wrapped up Feroz Shah’s petition.
