ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court (SC) on Wednesday has fined Rs0.5 million to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government over wrong statement in a case pertaining to illegal appointments in Communication and Works department.
During the hearing, enraged Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Gulzar Ahmed said that advocate general is considering government departments as his own property. We will close your office today, the CJP told advocate general.
The top judge remarked this huge negligence will not be tolerated at any cost, asking the advocate general and department’s secretary whether they have read the statement.
