SC rejects bail petition of Double Shah in fraud case

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Wednesday directed all the Union Councils and National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) to register the marriages of Christians.
While announcing the decision, the top court has ordered the government to take legal steps to ensure timely registration of Christians’ marriages.
It has also directed National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) to issue certificates in this regard.
The Court directed all the Union Councils to ensure registration of the Christian Marriages.
It also ordered NADRA to issue a computerized marriage certificate to the Christian couples.
The Court directed the Punjab Government to enact a proper legislation in this connection.
