ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court (SC) would take up the final appeal of Asia Bibi against her death sentence on Monday.
According to reports, a three-member special bench of the apex court, headed by Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar would hear of appeal Asia Bibi, a Christian woman sentenced to death for blasphemy. Justice Asif Saeed Khosa and Justice Mazhar Alam Khan Miankhel will be the other members of the bench.
The court has issued notices to the additional prosecutor general of Punjab, lawyers Syed Fayyaz Ahmed Sherazi, Saif-ul-Malook Chaudhry, and others.
