Senate’s session for voting on no-trust resolutions today

ISLAMABAD: The much-awaited session of the Senate for voting on no-trust resolutions against chairman and deputy chairman Senate would be held today at 2pm.
Senator Mohammad Ali Saif would chair the session as both the chairman and deputy chairman could not chair the session. The opposition parties have about 67 and the government allies have 36 senators in the upper house of the parliament.
The government claims that no-trust motion against Sadiq Sanjrani would be defeated. However, the opposition has clear majority. The government also claimed that deputy chairman would be ousted today, but no one has been nominated by the government for the post of the deputy chairman.
