Several terrorists arrested during military crackdown in Punjab

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif on Monday chaired a high level security meeting to review progress of operation  in Punjab to arrest perpetrators of a blast that killed over 70 people in Lahore on Saturday.
In a series of tweets, military spokesman Lt. Gen Asim Saleem Bajwa the meeting was informed that security forces and intelligence agencies carried out five operations in Lahore, Faisalabad and Multan after the Lahore attack.
Without giving specific number of suspects arrested in the operations, the Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said numbers of suspects, terrorists and facilitators were arrested while huge caches of arms and ammunition seized during the raids.
