Shahbaz asks NA speaker to issues Saad Rafique’s production order

ISLAMABAD: Opposition leader in National Assembly and president PML-N Mian Shahbaz Sharif has requested speaker Asad Qaiser to issue production order for Khawaja Saad Rafique, who was arrested by the NAB in Lahore on Tuesday.
According to reports, the opposition leader held one-on-one meeting with the speaker. The opposition leader expressed reservations over arrest of Khawaja brothers.
Shahbaz Sharif also informed the speaker about the opposition parties’ decision regarding appointment of Public Account Committee (PAC) chairman, saying that all opposition parties would only accept him as chairman PAC.
He assured the speaker that the opposition parties would cooperate in smooth running of the affairs of the National Assembly.
Earlier, the leaders of the opposition parties held a meeting with Shahbaz Sharif in the chair. They decided that they would take unanimous stance in the national assembly on national issues.
Shahbaz Sharif thanked the opposition parties for united stance. He thanked the PPP for its support.
Talking media, Shahbaz said the opposition parties had devised an alternative to avoid this possible conflict of interest: He (Shahbaz) can be nominated as the PAC chairman, but he will not head meetings in which audit paras of the previous PML-N government are scrutinised. Instead, a sub-committee can be formed to examine matters related to the previous administration, and the PTI can nominate its own chairman for the sub-committee, Shahbaz added.
Shahbaz said claimed on Tuesday that the National Accountability Bureau would not be able to prove anything against him even till Judgment Day
