ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Wednesday said that the Sharif family counsel had not brought up any evidence of owing their London property despite a passage of nine months.
Talking to media after the Panamagate case hearing in Supreme Court, Imran Khan said that there was a discrepancy between the evidences presented by Sharif family and their statements. “Most of these documents have been unable to establish a money trail” he added.
PTI chairman went on to add that money trail of his own property as well as documents were available with the Election Commission.
Imran further said that Sharif family have never been held accountable, taking refuge under either the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) or the Charter of Democracy.
Chairman PTI reiterated that FBR, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) or other institutions cannot carry out an independent investigation of the case as long as Nawaz Sharif holds his position as the Prime Minister.
