Sharif family submits pleas to make NAB, AC party in IHC

ISLAMABAD: Former Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and Captain Retired Safdar on Friday have submitted various pleas in Islamabad High Court for the amendment in already under trial pleas against Avenfiled Reference Covncition.
Court has been pleaded to make NAB and Accountability Court as a party in the case.
Earlier on Thursday, the NAB Court ordered the concerned authorities to produce former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday.
The orders were passed by the Judge of NAB Court II, Muhammad Arshad Malik during the hearing of references related to Al Azizia and Flagship Investment.
The hearing of the references was later adjourned till Monday by the AC Judge.
Earlier on August 07, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) approved a plea from Nawaz Sharif and his family to order the transfer Al-Azizia and Flagship Investment references to another court.
The decision was announced by a two-member bench comprising Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb on Nawaz Sharif’s plea.
Sharif’s legal counsel had filed the appeal requesting the high court to transfer the references from the court of Accountability Judge-I Mohammad Bashir to another accountability court.
The Sharif family had also petitioned against their convictions in the Avenfield reference.
