LAHORE: Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Saraj-ul-Haq has said that Pakistan and Afghanistan must work together for peace and progress.
According to the spokesperson of Jamaat-e-Islami, Sirajul Haq expressed these views during a telephone conversation with Afghan Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi.
The spokesperson said that Saraj-ul-Haq had called the Afghan Foreign Minister and also conveyed Eid greetings and good wishes to Afghan Supreme leader Haibatullah Akhundzada. He also expressed good wishes for the neighboring country.
Both leaders discussed the overall situation in the region. Saraj-ul-Haq said that the people of both countries are like one soul and their future is bright.
Afghan Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi thanked Amir Jamaat and expressed his intention to visit Pakistan after Eid, saying he hopes that the relationship between the two countries will become even stronger after the visit.
