Stranded Hikers rescued on Rakaposhi

A group of three climbers that summited the peak of Rakaposhi last week got stranded in camp III at a height of 6900 meters.

The group included one local climber and two climbers of the Czech Republic, who were rescued from a height of 6000 meters with help of an army helicopter.

According to Nagar Deputy Commissioner (DC) Zulqarnain Haider the climbers were sent to Gilgit in an army helicopter on Wednesday where they were welcomed by government officials and politicians upon their arrival.
