Operations in Shabqadar, Mardan: Nine suspects, two terrorists arrested

PESHAWAR: As many as nine suspects including two absconders were arrested during a search operation in Shabqadar on Thursday, said local police in a statement.
According to the statement, a total of 125 houses were searched in the operation and nine suspects were arrested which included two absconders wanted to police in different crimes.
The statement read that weapons were also recovered in the operation.
Meanwhile, the Special Police Unit (SPU) on the directives of Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has arrested two terrorists belonged to outlawed organization Hizb-ul-Tehreer in Charsadda Chowk area of Mardan.
The CTD said in a statement that SPU conducted a raid on a tip-off and arrested Aziz-ud-Din and Shereen Khan adding that Aziz-ud-Din was hailing from Khogyani area of Afghanistan.
The statement read that Shereen Khan was a resident of Peshawar and both were distributing pamphlets of Hizb-ul-Tehreer.
Both the arrested persons were being interrogated, added the statement.
