Swiss cases against Zardari can’t be reopened due to time-bar, NAB tells SC

ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has informed the Supreme Court that Swiss authorities have rejected Pakistan’s appeal for reopening cases against former president Asif Ali Zardari.
The National Accountabiliy Bureau (NAB) Wednesday submitted its reply in the Supreme Court regarding National Reconciliation Ordinance case. The NAB stated that the Swiss authorities rejected the appeal of government of Pakistan due to time-bar
The report stated that there was no record of the losses to the national exchequer due to the NRO. The NAB also stated that former attorney general Malik Qayyum did not misused his authority by requesting for the closure of Swiss cases against Asif Ali Zardari.
