PESHAWAR: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has foiled a major terror bid and arrested a suicide bomber along with facilitator during raid in Bannu here on Friday, CTD sources informed.
CTD sources said that while acting on a tip-off of information, one suicide bomber and his facilitator were arrested during raid. One suicide jacket, one hand grenade and ammunition were recovered from the custody of the arrested terrorist. The arrested terrorist was identified as Amjad Nawaz who belong to Lakki Marwat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Later, bomb disposal squad (BDS) defused the explosives and suicide jacket.
