According to Khalid Zadran, Kabul’s security spokesman, who shared information on Twitter, the explosion transpired near Spin Mosque within the city, specifically at a hotel. The victims impacted by this incident included both “Waziristan refugees” and local “Khost residents.” According to sources, the militants of the Hafiz Gul Bahadur group were frequent visitors of the hotel.
The official statement further elaborated that the aftermath of the explosion led to three fatalities, while seven individuals sustained injuries. These casualties were subsequently transported to a medical facility for treatment and care.
The security forces swiftly cordoned off the area to ensure safety and to facilitate ongoing investigations aimed at uncovering the circumstances surrounding the blast.
