Erdogan compares Israel's Gaza 'brutality' to Nazi persecution of Jews

ISLAMABAD: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has expressed his country’s solidarity with Pakistan against the threats given by the United States (US) President Donald Trump.
During telephonic conversation with President Mamnoon Hussain, Erdogan assured that Turkey would stand by Pakistan at any situation.
The Turkish President said that Pakistan had rendered unmatched sacrifices in the war against terrorism.
Thanking his Turkish counterpart, President Mamnoon Hussain expressed his gratitude on Turkey’s solidarity and said that Pakistan was a responsible country.
Mamnoon Hussain added that Pakistan would respond to the US Administration appropriately.
Let it be known that the US President Donald Trump, in his tweet, had said, “The United States has foolishly given Pakistan more than 33 billion dollars in aid over the last 15 years, and they have given us nothing but lies & deceit, thinking of our leaders as fools.”
He added, “They give safe haven to the terrorists we hunt in Afghanistan, with little help. No more!”
This statement of Donald Trump hatched a war of words between the US and Pakistan whereas it also triggered strong reaction from political leaders across the country.
After the Trump’s statement, Pakistan also convened a high-level meeting of federal cabinet and National Security Committee (NSC).
