Two more die of Dengue, total death reached to 27 in KP

169 more patients diagnosed with dengue fever in KP

PESHAWAR: Two more persons died because of Dengue here in Peshawar on Thursday, raising the total death toll to 27 because of the epidemic.
According to Dengue Response Unit of Health Department KP, the deceased were identified as Asif son of Jehanzeb, 22 years age and resident of Bacha Gul Regi Lalama area and Muhammad Imran, resident of Tehkal area. Asif was admitted at Khyber Teaching Hospital on September 10 because of dengue fever. Muhammad Imran was admitted at Lady Reading Hospital because of dengue fever where he breathed his last.
Presently there are around 433 patients who are admitted in hospital and getting treatment, adding the statement of Dengue Response Unit.
Around 398 people were brought to hospital because of fear of dengue and 152 were admitted in hospitals.
Similarly, a total of 1752 tests were conducted in hospital on Thursday and around 107 patients were discharged after recovering from disease.
Meanwhile, DC Peshawar has prepared a list of 16 victims for compensation of the bereaved families. The victim families would be paid Rs 0.5 million each as compensation.
