TANK: Two commanders belonging to the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) were killed during security forces and police joint operation in Bara Khel area of Tank district here on Monday, while a security official also sustained injuries during encounter with militants.
According to DPO Tank Rasool Shah, the two TTP militants identified as Qutubuddin Gandapur and Iqbal Gandapur were killed in an exchange of fire during the operation. The terrorists were involved in suicide attack on former provincial law minister Israrullah Gandapur in which Israrullah and several other people were killed.
DPO added that a cop also sustained wounds during the operation. The injured policeman was shifted to hospital for treatment.
