Two women injured in Indian troops firing across LoC

RAWALPINDI: Two women sustained injuries as Indian forces opened unprovoked fire across the Line of Control (LoC) in Neza Pir sector on Friday.
Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported that the aggressor resorted to fire in a rural residential locality leaving two women injured.
Earlier Indian forces opened fire in Zafarwal sector leaving three locals injured. Retaliatory fire of Pakistan forces claimed life of an Indian soldier while two were wounded, military’s media cell reported.
In October 2017, an eight-year-old boy was martyred in cross-border firing by India.
A month later, in November, a 75-year-old woman was killed in unprovoked Indian firing at the LoC.
Fatal violation of the ceasefire had come in days after Prime Minister (PM) Shahid Khaqan Abbasi visited Chirikot sector where he was briefed over the LoC situation.
The premier had condemned Indian aggression and reiterated that Pakistan shall continue its political, diplomatic and moral support to Kashmiris for their just struggle.
