ISLAMABAD: The US ambassador to Pakistan Donald Blome Wednesday called Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in tweet stated that the US ambassador met him, adding that constructive discussions on further strengthening bilateral relations were held with the US ambassador. They also discussed the regional developments. The foreign minister welcomed holding of health dialogue to be held in June and emphasized cooperation of the US with Pakistan including post floods reconstruction.
Meanwhile, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari left for Jordan and Iraq.
In the first leg of the visit, the foreign minister will travel to Jordan to attend the royal wedding.
From Jordan, the foreign minister will visit Iraq from June 5-7.
“During the visit, the Foreign Minister will meet with Iraqi leadership, and hold detailed meeting with his counterpart,” the foreign office said.
Important agreements will also be signed during the visit.
FM Bilawal is undertaking this visit at the invitation of the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Iraq, Dr. Fuad Hussein.
