PESHAWAR: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has arrested a terrorists named as Muhammad Bilal during an operation near Suri Pul area on Grand Trunk (GT) Raod in Peshawar.
According to a statement issued by the CTD, Muhammad Bilal belonged to banned organization had abducted and then killed a police constable Anwar Ali in 2014.
Muhammad Bilal is a resident of Bara subdivision in Khyber Agency, said the statement adding that he was shiftef to an unknown location for further interrogation.
Meanwhile, security forces have arrested more than 20 people including criminals and suspects in a search operation in Pishtakhara area of the metropolitan city.
Weapons and narcotics were also recovered in the operation which was conducted in Danishabad and adjacent areas on the directives of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Sajjad Khan.
Cases were lodged against the arrested people and investigations were kicked off.
