Openers Leon Johnson was unbeaten on 12 with him Darren Bravo 15 not out.
Earlier Pakistan resumed at 304-4 and added another 148 runs with Misbah-ul-Haq falling six short of his hundred while Sarfraz Ahmed made 56.
West Indian paceman Shannon Gabriel took a career best 5-96 for his maiden five-wicket haul while Jason Holder finished with 3-47.
Pakistan leads the three-match series 1-0 after winning the first Test in Dubai by 56 runs.
