Baluchistan to become source of eliminating deprivation from country: PM Nawaz


GAWADAR: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that the incumbent government initiated concrete steps for the development of Gawadar and Baluchistan adding that no other government has ever worked for the development of the province.
Addressing a public gathering in Gawadar Port on Thursday, the premier said that the port was my mission since 1991 and the people have realized that a new era of prosperity has now commenced in Baluchistan.
Nawaz Sharif said that all the other governments forgot Baluchistan and its people; however, he always dreamed of Gawadar to become the best port city.
The Prime Minister said that the government was connecting Baluchistan with the entire country through a network of roads adding that a two-day journey to Baluchistan has been reduced to a couple of hours.
The construction of roads boosts the overall GDP of the country, he said and added that they would also construct schools, colleges and universities in Baluchistan.
Nawaz Sharif said that they were establishing peace in the province which would become tiger of Pakistan and subsequently Pakistan the tiger of Asia.
He maintained that Baluchistan was not deprived anymore and the province would become a source of eliminating deprivation from the entire country.
The premier also announced to construct a state of the art university in Gawadar and said that 500 acres of land has already been bought for the campus.
