CM Zehri resigns to avoid no-trust motion: Bugti

QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan Sardar Sanaullah Zehri has resigned from his post, former home minister Sarfaraz Bugti confirmed on Tuesday.
Talking to newsmen he said that the chief minister has resigned. However, he added, the speaker has not formally informed them about the resignation.
He said that they would form new government next week. Zehri was to face no-trust motion as the opposition and rebel members of the PML-N have reached the provincial assembly.
According to reports, the chief minister has submitted his resignation with the governor, who have accepted the resignation.
In a statement following his resignation, Zehri said that he did not wish to cause problems in the political setup of the province. He added that he was not in the habit of hanging onto power at any cost.
