Kasur towards normalcy after uprising over Zainab’s murder

KASUR: Normalcy began to return to Kasur on Friday after two straight days of chaos following the brutal rape and murder of 7-year-old Zainab.
On Friday morning, business centers and educational institutions opened as per routine and vehicles were seen plying on the city roads amid gruesome atmosphere.
The paramilitary troopers were deployed in the city on Thursday after protesters, protesting the inhuman incident, attacked the offices of the ruling party’s lawmakers.
They were critical of police over their failure to make headway in the probe into the rape and murder of the 7-year-old girl.
The protests turned violent on Wednesday when police personnel opened fire on hundreds of protesters, outside DC Office, killing two people.
The protests erupted when dead body of Zainab was found buried in a heap of garbage.
