Nisar nods to place names of 5 players accused of spot fixing on ECL

ISLAMABAD: The Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan on Monday gave approval for placing on Exit Control List (ECL) the names of five players accused of spot fixing in Pakistan Super League’s (PSL) second edition.
In this connection, a meeting was held in Islamabad with the Interior Minister in the chair which was attended by officials of National Data Base and Registration Authority (NADRA), Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and the Interior Ministry.
Nisar Ali Khan while speaking on the occasion has said that those players who vilified Pakistan must be brought to the book.
The Interior Minister ordered to conduct transparent and impartial investigations covering all aspects of the matter.
Yesterday, FIA wrote a letter to the Interior Ministry seeking names of five players allegedly involved in spot fixing in second edition of PSL.
The players included Sharjeel Khan, Kalid Latif, Muhammad Irfan, Shazeb Hassan and Nasir Jamshed.
