KARACHI: Supreme Court on Friday upheld Sindh High Court decision ordering Sindh government to employ the children of retired policemen on ‘son quota’.
Some 11 cops of Sindh police had challenged Sindh government’s decision not to employ retired policemen children on ‘son quota’ in Sindh High Court.
The high court while accepting the petition had restored ‘son quota’ in police department and directed the provincial government to employ the children of retired policemen in the department on the quota.
The provincial government moved SC against the SHC decision. The SC on Friday rejected Sindh government’s appeal against the SHC decision and ordered the department to appoint retired policemen children on ‘son quota’.
