ISLAMABAD: Speaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Asad Qaiser has rejected corruption charges and said that the NAB has not contacted him about the charges.
Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, he said that he has 5 kanal and five marla plot in Banigala and said that all his assets and properties have been declared in assets declaration before general elections. He said that his brother was living in a rented house in Banigala.
Chief Minister Pervez Khattak and other PTI leaders were also present on this occasion. About appointments in provincial assembly, he said that 35 persons were appointed on vacant posts on quota for the heirs of retired employees under relevant rules and the media could verify the issue.
He said that his character assassination was carried out media and social media. He said that he would legal action over damaging his credibility. He termed all the cases as political motivated cases. He said that he had paid Rs1.1 million as tax last year.
The chief minister said that he trusted speaker of the provincial assembly and talked to him. He said that all the properties of speaker were purchased before 2013 elections. He said that the speaker has presented all the money trail.
