Swat van accident

At least 11 people, including women and children, lost their lives in a tragic Swat van accident on Sunday after a passenger van fell into a deep ravine in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to local officials, the van was traveling from Malam Jabba to Sair Telegram when the driver reportedly lost control on a mountainous road. The vehicle plunged into a gorge, killing 11 passengers on the spot while five others suffered serious injuries.

Soon after the Swat van accident, rescue teams and local residents rushed to the area and started relief operations. The injured and the bodies of the deceased were shifted to a hospital in Saidu Sharif for medical treatment and legal formalities.

The injured passengers are said to be in critical condition. Authorities have started an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.

The Swat van accident has once again raised concerns about road safety on hilly routes in northern areas, where accidents often occur due to narrow roads and difficult terrain.
