13 Militants Killed in KP as Security Forces Launch Intelligence-Based Operations

At least 13 militants killed in KP during a series of operations carried out by Pakistani security forces in different districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The military confirmed the development and said the actions were part of an ongoing counterterrorism campaign.

According to the official statement, 13 militants killed in KP during five separate clashes that took place in Bajaur, Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber and South Waziristan districts. Security forces launched the operations after receiving intelligence about militant hideouts in these areas.

The first operation took place in Bajaur District where troops targeted a suspected militant hideout. A fierce exchange of fire followed and security personnel successfully eliminated five militants at the site.

In two more encounters in Bannu District and Dera Ismail Khan District, security forces continued their action against armed groups. During these clashes, three more militants were killed, bringing the total number of 13 militants killed in KP during the day’s operations.

Separate clashes were also reported in Khyber District and South Waziristan District. In these encounters, security forces killed five additional militants after intense gunfire between both sides.

Officials said that the militants belonged to a group involved in violent activities in the region. A large quantity of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the sites of the operations. Security forces believe the group had been active in planning and carrying out attacks in different parts of the province.

The latest operations come as Pakistan faces growing security challenges, particularly in areas near the border with Afghanistan. Authorities say militant networks often attempt to regroup in remote areas, prompting security agencies to increase intelligence-based operations.

Military officials stressed that operations will continue to ensure peace in the region. They said the forces remain committed to eliminating terrorism and protecting the country’s borders. Clearance operations are also underway to make sure no remaining militants stay hidden in the affected areas.

The military further stated that the fight against militancy will continue and that security forces will keep targeting groups involved in destabilizing activities across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
