21 India-Backed Terrorists Killed in North Waziristan Operations, Says ISPR

India-backed terrorists

Pakistan security forces have killed 21 India-backed terrorists during a series of intelligence-based operations in the Miran Shah area and surrounding parts of North Waziristan, according to the military’s media wing.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the operations were carried out over the past 72 hours and involved intense exchanges of fire with militants.

Among those killed were four key commanders identified as Khalid Raza alias Salar, Muftoon, Musa and Imran alias Ayan. The military described them as senior figures who played leading roles in militant activities in the region.

According to ISPR, the deaths of these commanders have dealt a major blow to the network operating in the area. The group members were wanted for their alleged involvement in attacks on security personnel and civilians.

The latest operations have brought the total number of militants killed in the area to 48, the statement added.

Security forces also recovered weapons and ammunition from the militants. ISPR said the individuals killed had been actively involved in terrorist activities and attacks on innocent civilians.

The military said clearance operations are continuing to track down and eliminate any remaining militants hiding in the area.

ISPR reaffirmed that Pakistan’s counter-terrorism campaign under the vision of Azm-e-Istehkam will continue at full pace. The initiative, approved by the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan, aims to eliminate foreign-sponsored terrorism and strengthen national security.

The military said security forces and law enforcement agencies remain committed to dismantling militant networks and maintaining peace across the country.
