RAWALPINDI: Pakistan has witnessed a surge in terror incidents due to infiltration of terrorists originating from Afghanistan soil, stated Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a statement.
In response to these infiltrations, security forces conducted operations in District Zhob of Balochistan and other areas along Pakistan-Afghanistan border and killed total 29 terrorists in past one month.
The operation, launched on April 21 targeted the Sambaza area in District Zhob of Balochistan.
According to ISPR, Major Babar Khan lost his life in the line of duty on May 14, displaying remarkable bravery. The ISPR affirmed the unwavering commitment of Pakistan’s security forces to safeguard borders, ensure citizen safety, and eradicate the scourge of terrorism.
Pakistan has urged the interim Afghan government to establish an effective border management system. There is an expectation that the interim Afghan government will fulfill its responsibility in preventing terrorists from using Afghan soil against Pakistan.
