A grand graduation ceremony was held in Pakistan for 300 Afghan students who studied under the Higher Education Commission’s (HEC) Allama Iqbal Scholarship Program. During the event, the students expressed deep gratitude, love for Pakistan, and strong sentiments of friendship.
Afghan students stated, “Studying in Pakistani universities is a matter of pride for us. This scholarship turned our dreams into reality.”
One Afghan female student shared, “I’m pursuing advanced studies in cardiology, and it is because of Pakistan that I’m able to fulfill my dream of becoming a doctor.”
Another student said, “Without this scholarship, our education would not have been possible. This initiative by the Government of Pakistan offers hope for a brighter future to Afghan youth.”
Students currently enrolled at COMSATS University described Pakistan’s academic environment as excellent, saying the quality of education meets international standards.
The Chairman of HEC, while addressing the ceremony, announced that the third phase of the Allama Iqbal Scholarship, supported by the Prime Minister of Pakistan, is set to begin soon. This new phase will provide opportunities for an additional 4,500 Afghan students to pursue higher education in Pakistan.
The Project Director highlighted that Pakistani universities are playing a key role in polishing the talents of Afghan students. He added that the scholarship has become a catalyst for both personal and professional development.
The Director of IM Sciences remarked, “The graduation of Afghan students is a proud moment for us and a shining example of Pakistan-Afghanistan educational cooperation.”
