ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s security forces have foiled a terrorist attack on a naval facility on Monday night in volatile Balochistan province.
According to media reports, security forces have killed all four terrorists who launched an attack on a Pakistan Navy station in Turbat. Armed with automatic weapons and hand grenades, the terrorists targeted the Pakistan Naval Station Siddique, engaging in a firefight with security personnel stationed at the outer wall.
Despite attempting to breach the naval station, the terrorists were confronted and ultimately killed during the exchange of fire with security forces outside the base. Subsequently, a clearance operation was initiated at the site, with additional security personnel deployed to cordon off the area and conduct thorough search operations.
While initial reports suggested the involvement of six terrorists, official confirmation awaited a detailed statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations, the media wing of the Pakistan army.
The Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), a banned terrorist organization, claimed responsibility for the attack. This incident follows a similar assault on March 20 in Gwadar, where eight terrorists attacked an official building, resulting in the deaths of two security guards. Security forces successfully repelled that attack, eliminating all BLA terrorists involved.
