KARACHI: The crackdown against crime continued late Monday night and into the early morning hours of Tuesday as police took 45 alleged suspects into custody. Law enforcement agencies also conducted raids in various areas of the city and arrested 5 suspects including gang-war operatives and worker of a political party.
According to the details, police conducted a search operation in Landhi and Korangi areas in which 250 officers participated. 45 alleged suspects were taken into custody during the operation.
On the other hand, 2 injured felons were arrested after a clash with the police near Landhi Karbala ground. Ammunition and a motorcycle were recovered from the perpetrators.
Conducting a raid in Baldia, security agency’s arrested a worker of a political party.
Rangers arrested an operative of Lyari gangwar Aziz Baloch group during action in Lyari Nawalain area. The notorious felon was wanted for numerous cases of police officials’ murder, attempted murder and extortion.
A local leader of a political party was also taken into custody from Golden Town near Malir Al-Falah society.
Meanwhile police also apprehended 2 suspects from Pirabad area and recovered firearms and drugs from the culprits.
